well. it isn't like a band i don't know is unusual. anyhow. one of those tests of emusic's similar artists feature. i downloaded something from desert hearts. a Belfast band i'm giving the first listen now. the first song... i forget what it was called already but I loved the music. the vocals were ok. but the intro was awesome and the guitars were fantastic. sea punk, the next song is pretty damned cool though. I guess i like the title too.

but what is it with music. when i'm down and not feeling into things. I don't listen to music then. but when i listen to music. or when the mood strikes. or should i say it just flat out changes my mood. I feel inspired by it. a good melody with the proper amount of dischordant noise makes me very happy. so far. so good here with the desert hearts.

somehow yo la tengo and sonic youth are supposed to be roots and i guess i see that. but i would swear that emusic steared me this way from seam's page. and well. if you know me. you know seam. and you know seam is the way to my heart. along with good vegan food of course.

two songs. and sleep calls. so one more maybe and then bed. and well maybe more blogging later. right now i've gotta think that joe girardi can scare anyone off who hasn't been turned off by this senseless commentary...



ps. song 3 is my favorite so far... the lyrics are a little.. well they could be smothered more appropriately. but i always smothered lyrics on purpose i guess...
